Int-Eat (Interactive Eating)

Int-Eat is a new company formed by 6 team members: Víctor Rodríguez, Jose Manuel, Fco José, Gonzalo Chéliz, Alex Rodríguez and Javier Bueno.

Our idea could be implemented at any restaurant, bar, pub or social place in which customers have to order something. It is thought for anyone, there are no ages for this. This idea may help schedule buying food since it will be controlled by computers. Moreover it will warn when you should buy some kind of food, giving you leeway. It will also make the waiting and ordering time more pleasant, so children may play games on touch screens while parents talk or play too. This will help when ordering by having to simply "click" on the menu you want, so it prevents you from waiting the waiter to come.

We have done a research and found some analogs which have ideas similar to ours. The one who may be the most difficult to compete with is "inamo", a restaurant from London. We can check its features here: "inamo"

Furthermore we have found the E-Menu, which offers customers a variety of games and features which will make things easier and modernize the ordering system. The E-Menu : E-Menu

We have also found a restaurant which offers touch screens and multiplayer games: Bar

Those analogs have increased their profits by using this new technology, so we are now about to take profit of this new system to offer new things. Our main goal is to have the whole food controlled by computers, so the customer is able to watch on the touch screen only the available menus. If the restaurant is running out of beer, the customer won't be able to order it. However he/she will be informed by a warning message.

As we understood in the past class, we must focus on no more than 3 leaps of faith.

The first and more important one is: will people be willing to modernize their way of eating out? People is used to the classic way, which consists of a paper menu and a waiter. That's why we will have to analyze the risk of trying to make them change this to a modern way with no waiters and no physical menus.

The second one is: will we be able to create and afford a system to control the whole restaurant's food and its touch screens? It needs time and money to be created, so we have to study how much will it cost and whether is profitable.

We have to work on this idea in order to decide whether it's profitable, because we don't know how much will it cost yet, so now we are introducing it and making changes to solve the problems we have found.
